wsj

ah, just when you thought it was safe to wake up in the morning, grab a hot cup of coffee that was made only moments ago and sit down to flip open the wall street journal and take in as much business news as possible without political propaganda...WHAM BAM, THANK YOU RUP!

the wsj takeover is complete and now not only can we not watch television news, we are now forced to find an alternative business paper - it's only a matter of time before reporters are told and forced to slant articles to the right - a large restructuring is in the works at the wsj headquarters, just wait and see.

so, instead of reading my paper this morning, i walked out onto the back patio and set it a flame - after standing there with my arms on my hips like superman, looking at the ashes, seemingly proud of making my stand for the far left today - i simply went back into the house, called and canceled my subscription - i refuse to have any part of the right-wing agenda - it's brainwashing - stephen king's fiction is becoming non.

the wsj will soon become the 'river', because that's what we're all up.

hope you have a paddle.

iran

iran's the biggest threat to the middle east - i guess that's why we're at war with iraq.

condi had this to say about her middle east tour with our allies, "
...we have a lot of interests in common in this region: in the fight against terrorism and extremism; in protecting the gains of peace processes of the past and in extending those gains to peace processes of the future." - i think she forgot to mention oil.

here's why we should NOT attack iran:

  • iran does not have nuclear weapons.
  • iran has not threatened the united states.
  • we have enough dead u.s. citizens because of 1 unjust war.

monday

typical monday, got up - blew my nose for the umth-tenth time this week (yes, it's only monday) but this sinus infection is about to get on my last nerve - do we really need our nose, sinus cavity?

work was typical, all-be-it, predictable - 8am, work, lunch, work, 5pm - on the way home, i took the newly, upgraded, renovated, refreshed interstate highway 64 (the part in front of downtown louisville) - besides the constant jarring, it was ok - asphalt over concrete - highway construction company's idea of job security i suppose

almost home - driving in middle lane - getting tailed by a beat-up, dented, al gore's nightmare of a chevy lumina - passes me on the right, cuts me off, and makes a left turn in the left lane - hoosiers

dinner (mc alisters deli, yum-e!) - blog work - in bed - posted

race day

what a day - race was amazing - the roar, the noise - unbelievable

traffic wasn't bad - parking wasn't horrible - saw 1 black person, i couldn't believe it, which is to say, i couldn't believe i saw only 1 black person - strange i thought - and rednecks... man, the rednecks

nascar is the redneck sport - no doubt in my mind - i knew it before i even got to my first race - but i had no idea - apparently, if you are male and have nascar tickets, "the no shirt, no shoes, no service policy" does not apply - here's a word of advice to the rotted toothed, no shirt wearing, saliva spitting, smoke blowing, acne-infested back, chest and face individual who sat to my right... PUT YOUR CLOTHES BACK ON!

and to top off my first nascar experience - tony stewart, of all people - won the race
